real animation

I enjoyed the Tana series and I really enjoyed this. There was nice characterization and I dug the scrapbook concept. The frame by frame animation was very fluid and it is always nice to see actual animation and not merely tweens. I found this very entertaining and professional. I am seeing saiyan-like improvements from you from project to project. Keep it up.

damianmartins responds:

Thanks. I just hope that people won't be disapointed when I come out with something that tweening again. Shit's already in the works. Professional? I wish. Well... I just won't look a gift horse in the mouth :) Thanks again.

damn fantastic as usual

I love this series. It makes me feel good every time I watch one of the episodes. It is sincerely funny, not a common occurrence with most movies here. As a person ages, these movies will still be funny. Its humor is not outgrown like buttfuck and stickmen jokes. It revels in its own simplicity and that of its characters. the characters are all likeable and they each have distinctive personalities that play well off of each other. Jeff Fal definitely has a great future as a writer. kudos to your series and hopefully you will continue to bring us more gems such as Paul.

well...

Does anyone else think this movie is an oxymoron?

It bitches about the crap movies on Newgrounds while being a crap movie itself.

still good

Said it before and I'll say it again. These shows are great. I dig the Sailor Moon and Namek costumes and I really enjoyed the razor blade joke. Keep it up, Sirkowski....your work is one of the few worthwhile things appearing on this site.

Sirkowski responds:

Finally, a good review to push the bad one that was here before ;-)

it's true-Canadians are all funny

I always love these Miss Dynamite shorts. They look great and very professional. There is actual animation instead of just tweening which even I am too lazy to do most of the time. Sirkowski always takes the time to actually add shadows, shading, etc. The voice actors are quite good and the scripts are actually pretty funny and always amusing. I have to agree that these movies deserve a much higher ranking. Yet, somehow "Adventures in Skating" is still in the top 50. What is wrong with people?

I had forgotten how good this is

This definitely deserves its high ranking in the portal. Honestly, I think it should rank even higher, above "X-ray Glasses." It was nicely self-cointained and even conveyed <gasp> emotion and nostalgia. It was nice to see the original Optimus Prime (best cartoon hero leader of all-time)back in action instead of that damn CG Optimus Primal (who isn't too bad). The music score was nice and it would either take a studio team or a huge amount of time to improve the top-notch animation. If, Ortiz ever decides to animate more snippets from this script, I would be very interested in seeing the products. Newgrounds (especially the portal) has come a long way in its short few years and part of the credit goes to contributions of this caliber.

akira.....huh.....(explosion sound)

Well done. Nice scene transitions, great job with the explosion. Much better than I would have done at fourteen, I'm sure. Keep exploiting that talent.

keep it up

I think age should be a consideration when writing these reviews. I would say this is quite good work for a thirteen year-old. There was some nice continuity between shots that I didn't even see in the works of some of the people I went to college with. Decent pacing. I think there is definitely some potential in this fella. Keep it up.

The best thing about outer-space is you don't have to worry about falling down.
