You are getting there

If you keep practicing like this, you will get pretty good in Flash. Your drawings are nice and you have a sense for cinematography. I know you are rather young and you are doing a very good job for your age. One thing you need to learn is to optimize your filesizes a little better. This could easily be 300K instead of 1.1 Megs. Also, set your audio to stream so it will synch with the music, b/c when you hit the button to replay from the explosion, the music doesn't play. This is because you have it set to event earlier in the movie.

I love it

This is great. It is full of satirical goodness. All aspects of it are fantastic from the voices to the motions. You definitely captured the feel of the 50s and warped it into a great feast of sarcasm. I love this movie. I do. No really.

Synj shines brightly

Yes, the animation looks nice. Yes, the dizzying pace is fun. Yes, I look forward to seeing more. But, the greatest thing about all your toons is your character designs. They are always fresh, original, and well designed. Your style is what keeps me coming back again and again. When so many flash works are lame regurgitations of Hollywood movies regurgitating rehashed earlier movies, it is nice to see the beacons of light penetrate through the feces. Thanks, Synj. You are one of NG's greatest assets.

Good Ole Marky

You just keep getting better at this. Everything looked great. The preloader was VERY nice, the music was supa-slick. The cartoon looked good, flowed well, and had some good jokes. I didn't get all 9 easter eggs, but I will rewatch and try again. It's only a matter of time before you get your own TV show. Hip hip hooray!

Hey, Fourchinnigan. I ve finally learnt to spell your name without even thinking about it! That took like a year :) Where is MX#6. I've been waiting for ever now. Hard to find time? What do you do now? I'll start school again on Monday and that means no more animating for me (for now). Be sure to be back to get those last eggs! For everyone else who is reading this: Fourchinnigan is the creator of Miracle Explosion and ALSO (very important) plays the voice of the GHOST VIKING in YTOWN PUBLIC #5 and #6. He is one of the most popular YTOON characters ever!

Getting There

This is a good first effort definitely, but it is lacking in a few major areas. The artwork is rather nice. The line quality is bad and could use some smoothing or a steadier hand. Colors could use a little work as could the perspective and backgrounds. The motion is fairly good although there really isn't much overall. Pacing and staging could use definite improvement. Shots don't flow together as smoothly as they could and the action sequences are entirely too slow in comparison to the action. Everything seems to run at the same speed despite the lulls or frenzy necessary for the scene. The pacing needs to vary dependent on the mood of the scene. Audio is bad. Either you exported at a very low bitrate, recorded it at a subpar quality, or both. I'd definitely work on getting higher quality audio for the next ep. The overall design could be a little nicer. This was a decent movie with lots of potential. It was very nice for a first movie and I think with a little more work, some refinements, and practice--you will get much better. Good luck :)

Keep it up

I see you have started developing the plot and throwing in a little action. I like that you have created your own world with original characters. I'm sure as you go along, things will improve such as artwork, etc.; but you have a great foundation so far. You may want to think about adding some looping music or some audio to it just to make things a little more interesting. I look forward to the next installment.

Nice

Disregard the people who refuse to allow themselves to appreciate this. It is very refreshing to see someone with an imagination making a nice quest story. I've enjoyed both episodes so far. Keep it up. I look forward to seeing how this turns out. :)

I am amazed

I cannot fathom how you made the movie this big. This movie shouldn't be over 200K. You somehow managed to make this movie 12 times larger than it should be. I have no idea how you did this unless you exported the sound (of which there is VERY little)at an entirely uncompressed rate. You REALLY need to learn to optimize. The artwork was ok. Use the smooth options and clean them up some and they'd be pretty nice. You need to work on the pacing and especially the timing. Don't do anything else in Flash until you learn to make a preloader especially if you are going to make movies this inexplicably large. Seriously, I've made 6 minute movies with 1000s of symbols, lots of sound effects, numerous musical pieces, and jpegs that are not this large. I think you have potential, but you need to work on a lot of things before you get there. Good luck.

mistake?

I'm assuming you accidentally submitted this movie twice.

I love it

This was great. Very imaginative and well done. The sketch animation was especially nice. And who wouldn't fight over that stick gal with a body like that?! :)

The best thing about outer-space is you don't have to worry about falling down.
