GREAAATTT

Your Flash skills progress by leaps and bounds. This Looked GREAT. Good music, too. I love the character designs and infusion of koooky physics. You keep impressing me more and more, Marcus.

McRhyme responds:

Wooo! That was fast, man!

I just replied to your post and there you are! Cool. It's 07:26 in the morning in Sweden what time is it in LA?!

I'm glad you like the koooky physics! And I hope everyone realizes that green light sure has the wavelenght of 550nm by there is no such thing as a green laser (I think).

Cool cool

I remember seeing a screencap of this a long time ago. Glad you finally uploaded something so I could see what it is all about. Cool stuff, man and glad to see you are still kickin'. If Alloy never sees a series, he'd still make a damn good game.

MindChamber responds:

Thanks FO'C'!! Glad you liked it,.. though I do feel caddish, considering uploading movies are a major no-no.. It wont happen again, and I dying to upload what I have of HOC2, but I want it to be complete... Love your series bro.. you improve with uniqueness and style with each episode you produce..

Peace

Good Ole Marky

You just keep getting better at this. Everything looked great. The preloader was VERY nice, the music was supa-slick. The cartoon looked good, flowed well, and had some good jokes. I didn't get all 9 easter eggs, but I will rewatch and try again. It's only a matter of time before you get your own TV show. Hip hip hooray!

McRhyme responds:

Hey, Fourchinnigan. I ve finally learnt to spell your name without even thinking about it! That took like a year :) Where is MX#6. I've been waiting for ever now. Hard to find time? What do you do now? I'll start school again on Monday and that means no more animating for me (for now). Be sure to be back to get those last eggs! For everyone else who is reading this: Fourchinnigan is the creator of Miracle Explosion and ALSO (very important) plays the voice of the GHOST VIKING in YTOWN PUBLIC #5 and #6. He is one of the most popular YTOON characters ever!

COOL!!!!!!

All kinds of neat extras + a movie=good job. I liked the "Prize" when you beat the trivia game. There was some funny stuff in this episode and I liked the new robot. Everyone dies?! Great!!! Whoever did the voice for the Viking sucks 'though and what the hell IS MX?! You've got to quit referencing these odd obscure flash series that no one likes. ;)

McRhyme responds:

Oh man, you're so funny.

"Everyone dies?! Great!!!"

What a crazy review. Glad you liked the robot, as I'm sure you understand - He took several weeks to make. You know first make the damn model, then render the animated part (takes like a week on my computer) and then add it to the cartoon. And having 3D robots spinning around in the most 2D catoon ever, well it takes a lot of trying-changing-and trying again before it looks alright. You totally wrong about the Viking, that voice rules. It was so cool I even gave the Viking the last laugh. Hehe. Promise I won't ever mention MX again :) Sorry...

Cool cool

This movie is fun. It was almost like an animated children's book, sort of. The graphics and animation looked nice, but sometimes they only looked okay. The story was very cool. The music was tops. I like your band, or at least this song since it is the only one I have heard. My suggestion, next time don't make the music an event sound---set it to stream. Then copy your scenes into movie clips and put them all in one scene. The first time I watched this the music ended when the robot flew into space. I watched it a second time on low quality and the music fit perfectly. With a stream setting, the music will fit regardless of quality setting.

McRhyme responds:

Yupp, this wasn't my very first Flash movie - but it was my first real project. Animating something this long (3 min) take alot of time - especially when you have to make all the grafics. No lazy Library to fall back on!

That's what's so good with making a series :) And the other thing is that people start recognizing the charcters and know their names. That's cool too.

I guess you're right about it being like a book for children in away. I'm still a child on the inside, I guess.

Thanks for watching this rare piece!

I like this much

This is a really cool series. Each episode gets better and better. Some of the artwork and effects are awesome. The only complaint I have is about the line quality (it is too jagged for my taste), but if that is the style you want-who am I to nitpick? The 3D, especially the ship was really well done. This series is funny and odd, just like I like it. The Bear and AL have to be my favorite characters. Keep making more, please.

McRhyme responds:

You like MY effects? Wow, that incredible, I didn't even realise I use effects. The 3D ship looks crappy! But doing it what way made me better so I can make it better for future episodes! About the lines, yes I use FAT lines, infact I never use LINES in the finished movie. I only use lines to draw fields to shade on the character and then I dubble click on them and delete! One small exeption is Fred's hair, it contains some conture lines so I could shape tween it! AL's voice was made by Jeff!

Nice job

For the most part this was well done. It does have a few faults. The graphics are inconsistent. At times, they look fabulous, other times, they only looked okay. Were there multiple animators? This could definitely account for it. Transistions from shot to shot were not always effective. At times, the timing was off or the actions didn't seem to flow together well. Specifically, the moment before the gal vampire fell out the window. The audio sounded like it was recorded inside an air conditioner-lots of hiss, and terribly muffled. Despite what others are going to tell you, the music does not work. #1 rule for building a soundtrack-do not use music just because you like the bands. You have to choose music that accentuates the visuals. The more ambient, the better-the music should not take centerstage. Also cutting from one song to another song which are very different is a bad thing to do. It draws to much attention and gives the impression the sound designer is unskilled. Sound effects---use sound effects. They are often more important than music. In regards to storyline, there is nothing here I haven't seen before but I can look past that. It may sound like I disliked your movie. That is not the case. The fact that I have written this long review means that I see GREAT potential here and I'd like to see you use it to your best. With a few changes, this could be a damn good movie. I'll check out the next thing you put out for sure.

ImageNation responds:

Thanks and we welcom points. as for the audio the hiss was a tec glich we had as for muffed that a result of haveing to lower the quality inoder to get the file size down. We would have liked to use sounds effect we know how important they are but something had to give the file size was getting to be to big and a quiet movie with sounds (especially an action movie) can kill the intensity. also we didn't choose bands we liked we searched for songs we thought would fit the mood we wanted to keep the pace of the movie going. But again. we know some of the songs didn't transition as smoothly as we would have liked but as every one we're still learning and we enjoy the style of swiching song and madeby with some hard work it will work the way we wanted it too. thanks for the review we know we didn't cover all you said but all that matters is that you enjoyed the cartoon all we wanted to do was enterian.

Getting great

You have gone from nice but humble beginnings to good and now great. The animation and artwork improves each time. This time the mood, pacing, transistions, etc. were all masterfully done. It was like a well-pieced short movie. Hell, even the EKG meter looked especially convincing. The villain was a nice touch. I will not be surpised to see your name on television or in the theatre soon. BTW, I should be chosen to die because my momma is Cuban, much like Eva.

Sirkowski responds:

Eva is Cuban? =)

real animation

I enjoyed the Tana series and I really enjoyed this. There was nice characterization and I dug the scrapbook concept. The frame by frame animation was very fluid and it is always nice to see actual animation and not merely tweens. I found this very entertaining and professional. I am seeing saiyan-like improvements from you from project to project. Keep it up.

damianmartins responds:

Thanks. I just hope that people won't be disapointed when I come out with something that tweening again. Shit's already in the works. Professional? I wish. Well... I just won't look a gift horse in the mouth :) Thanks again.

still good

Said it before and I'll say it again. These shows are great. I dig the Sailor Moon and Namek costumes and I really enjoyed the razor blade joke. Keep it up, Sirkowski....your work is one of the few worthwhile things appearing on this site.

Sirkowski responds:

Finally, a good review to push the bad one that was here before ;-)

The best thing about outer-space is you don't have to worry about falling down.
